Ottilie is a duet
Ottilie B is french. She has the temper of the mountains she lives in. Wild. Proud. Untamed. This woman keeps her head up. With a wild verse, she sings about men/women relationships, love, and sex. The songs are witty and deep-felt, straight from the heart but never gross. You don’t speak french? Well, don’t worry, her voice goes beyond language. With these weird overtone singing parts, her guitar, loops and the accordeon, the genre of the french chanson is revisited.
Jean-Philippe Barrios is the other heartbeat of the duet. Playing on an unusual drumset -an assemblage of percussion and intimate bric-à-brac, he fuels Ottilie’s songs with energy and refined sounds, for a set in full bloom. Ottilie duet is just like France itself, beautiful and strange at the same time, but all in all just lovely!
