Georg Hekt – the so called main figure in Stigae Music – came the long way from Stara Zagora to Berlin by foot and has put up his tent across the river from the Bundestag. Between studying Music and Media and collecting flutes from the flea markets he finds himself often chained to his MPC for hours. The electricity for this machine is naturally stolen from the Chancellor him or herself.
Back in the day he worked with Oppidan on a daily basis and at some point there was the need of presenting some of those creations… Stigae Music came to existence a bit too late for the early stuff but the later works were getting more interesting and sophisticated. At the end some tunes found their place on these pages others remained hidden.
In the meantime people from all over the world joined the Stigae Collective to enrich the sonic galaxy of the netlabel. Upcoming releases will keep surprising you so you’re welcome to check our site again!
