Huunter (born Lloyd Bourne; March 15, 1988) is an American electronic musician. He released his debut CD ‘Shantih’ August 20th 2008. And his new album “The Ultraviolet Catastrophe” in the spring of 2010.
“The Ultraviolet Catastrophe” is an exploration into avant-garde/classical dance music. Inspired from the four-to-the floor beats of European dance artists and recorded using only classical instruments and ideas to create “The Ultraviolet Catastrophe”.
Huunter is an artistic pseudonym created as an umbrella under which Lloyd Bourne publishes all of his visual and musical endeavors. Huunter’s debut album, Shantih, is a minimalist classical album dedicated to the life of his late grandmother. After the sucessful release of Shantih Huunter returned to his home studio to concentrate writing a new album and a new artistic direction.
Observing crowds of people respond so viscerally to four-on-the-floor beats of modern dance music, Huunter was inspired to create a similar effect using only classical instruments. After months composing and arranging the result is The Ultraviolet Catastrophe.
These four tracks take you on a forty-minute journey through avant-garde, classical and dance influenced music. The Ultraviolet Catastrophe represents a new direction for the future of Huunters music.

The width of northern Canada. Home to an anonymous musician who goes by the name Anime Hill. In his own words, his Album for the Petcord netlabel “Fevered Dreams” is substantially different from earlier works in that it is not as dark, more experimental and equipped with an ambient look and feel. The tracks span from “very deep ambient drives” to “sort of electronic pseudorhythmic fun” and others that show some efforts in sound design. In a certain way, the work seems to resemble the characteristics or the north with its melancholic mood and spacious sound dimensions. During the course of the album, Anime Hill also exhibits a weakness for modulated analogue synth sounds, aesthetics that are shared with other Petcord artists like Fosel or Osoroshisa. So in case you enjoyed these releases there is a fair chance you will like this release, too.

“Riding in a Fail Boat” was written during a time of transition much of what you hear is meant to put images in your head. While doing some traveling in the Eastern parts of the United States Burke took influences from his time. In the music you can hear things that are meant to sound like train tracks, cars, and other aspects of urban life. Sleep was another large influence on this album. Whether it is sleeping in trains or run down apartments, the music tries to capture that dream like state, including its uneasiness.

johnny_ripper is the one man project of some french android, involving a keyboard, a computer and a mind, experimenting with electronic music by using elements from different genres to always create something unique.There isn’t a year that defines the beginning of johnny_ripper, since it comes from many sources of inspiration from tapes to failed attemps at learning guitar, ambitions of playing bass to a love for drums and finally using music softwares on the computer to make something of it’s own. Not having any musical education, the songs come out almost as accidents, where nothing is planned out, no clear ideas. Because of this lack of musical education, johnny_ripper doesn’t perform live, not even with the fine art of turntables.
null/void is johnny_ripper’s first release, after 2 years in the making, a mix of diverse electronic genres and elements, 10 tracks going from Jazz to Ambient music, to create a unique sound that cannot be categorized and takes the term experimental to a new level.

Melting clouds is a post-rock, psychedelic, experimental, meditative band from Kyiv. Created in Spring of 2009 it’s still looking for its own means of expression in sound and musical approach. Their music is comprised of considerably modified guitar sound added to distinctive atmospheric electronic background with the support of live drums and percussion. The musicians often abandon the riffic sound in favor of creation of sonic atmosphere to create a mood and their music becomes slightly meditative in a very unusual interpretation of post-rock.
1,5 hours of combined music and video created a frighteningly spacious atmosphere of arched galleries, enticing the listener with its rich sound of at times enveloping, at times tearing and hacking passages, enclosed into smooth and diverse video footage. The play of sound and light subtly captivated the space not letting to ignore the impulse, making the listener either fully accept everything that was going on as a phenomenon and realize oneself as an empathetic creator or fully reject what was going on, which appealed to variety of feelings and experiences, both enticing and frightening, claiming the listener for the ability to respond.
The diverse fusions of the listener and the spectator, the light and the music, the idea and the shape created highly complex, but cozy picture, where everyone would be free to become a light and fleeting cloud, entrusted to the wind to finally melt, but stay.

The “House Of Morpheus” is not only a realm of sleep and dreams, but also deals with the wide awake concentration of the meditating and creating conscience when inspired by its inner lamps, darkness and dawns. The pieces of music gathered in this album are some of the many rooms in this infinite mental house.
“Scansion” is a ritual of rising light, a call to the horizon and a celebration of this world’s enigma.
“La Seu”, inspired by the cathedral of Palma de Majorque, enhances this spiritual dimension. In the huge mysterious stone vessel, a music of ceremony intertwines with the acoustic presence of the invisible, and dissolves in it, as if the cathedral’s roof slowly opened on a deep mystic night sparkling with stars.
“Kozan-Ji” refers to a mountain buddhist temple of the district of Kyoto. Its solitude and serenity, expressed by an almost monophonic horizontal line, leads us to pure quietness through a central and symbolic fight for deliverance.
“From The Realm Of Morpheus” is dedicated to the eponymous novel of the American writer Steven Millhauser. It is a journey in the underground world of mysteries, nightmares, haunting memories, whispering intimate ghosts, and imagination, everyone holds in his mind.
“Chora” ends this visit in the secret house of soul, with a thanksgiving music offered to the daylight and the beauty of this unbelievable mysterious world. The title of this piece hides a double meaning by its reference to the Greek word “khora” (space), and its allusion to the french words “choral” (a religious kind of music, often for voices) and “chorale” (a choir). It is indeed an ode of joy leading to a final poem.

Here we are: Neither young nor innocent or idealistically transfigured any more. The right time for a “Bekennerschreiben” (claim of responsibility), to see what a variety of tastes a single ingredient like myself can provide a selfdestructive cannibal with.
Actually, I vaguely planned to do something more straight forward in one genre and have more singalong suitable lyrics. But sticking to the single principle of only doing what I want (against all good advice), it turned out to be a style mix quite similar to my first album Livingroom orbits.
I guess, this time I dived even a bit deeper into my personal variety of styles. In the end I allowed myself to accept them as what they are, without trying to match everything into my idea of a concept. So if it sounds like Krautrock-Techno, damned hard rock or a gay songwriter all mashed up in one indie pop stew, then this is just what I am.
