The music of winterphonic reflects a transformative process of decomposition and rearrangement. The diversity of fragile sounds and voice melt to a metamorph soundscape.
Winterphonic was founded as a trio in 2004, a first EP was released at the viennese label cracked an egg records. With a new musical formation (Emanuel Jauk, Adina Camhy) new influences came together. After some time of working, some releases on different compilations and many concerts played, the new album spirals emerged.
The album spirals, in its high grade of heterogeneity, reflects the way winterphonic are working. The intention was to make this process transparent to the listeners on the one hand- on the other, the ten tracks still give the impression of a coherent musical experience.

Over the last 12 years I have written many tracks which are a fusion of – ambient, goth, dance, trance, drum ‘n’ bass, lounge and jazz. In 1999 I released my first ‘real’ album which contained tracks from all of the above genres. Since then I have written many new tunes which have remained mostly unreleased. Some time ago I decided that rather than release all new music in a single album which covered all the genres, I would instead start grouping my various tracks in to themed compilations giving them a more natural flow from start to finish through the whole album. To date I have written 6 albums as well as many other tracks that are waiting to be compiled and released.
Some of those albums have been available through my websites or local shops for a while now, but now I’ve decided to make some of these albums available for free.

When your mood is being ruined by a single look out of your window, when you don’t dare to step out of your door without thermal clothing on and the reptile part of your brain would prefer to hibernate, you can of course get cosy in front of the fireplace with a nice cup of tea, hoping that the world will look a wee bit friendlier soon. On the other hand, you could also pass that idle time with The Sunshine Family.
The first ep of the new star in the iD. sky sounds like one huge cool cocktail that you enjoy on the hottest day of the year while laying on a comfy couch with skilled hands giving your neck an extraordinarily soft massage. And similar to a well-mixed drink, The Sunshine Family pour only the finest ingredients into the glass. Be it soft loungebeats, psychedelic vocals, fascinating ambient-spaces or complex jazzy sounds – the individual parts always merge and add up to become one warm, harmonic and tasteful whole.

Speaking of taste, it goes without saying that all this gets stirred, not shaken. After all, this ep is way more scrumptious and sweeter than any martini of your choice.

When the god of small things and the Indian goddess of music get together, then Phour Trakk might be the cause. After his previous side trip to the roaring maze of western metropolises, he packs his bags again in order to leave eastbound while in his mind he has already arrived there. And it goes without saying that he has remembered to slip into clothes both typical for the country and comfortable.
Consequently, his fourth EP on iD.EOLOGY comes along in a guise just as colourful, elegant and rich in texture as a dhoti by Manish Malhotra. Hilarious Bollywood-style vocals meet earthy downbeats, eastern harmonies contrast smoky blue-notes and breezy tabla-rhythms blend with deep fretless basses heavy as lead. While the memories of the skyscrapers’ silhouettes slowly fade, all these details, all these small things coalesce to generate a wistful anticipation of a far-away culture.
Before fascination and rapture now make you light a candle and start making oblations to the gods, you might as well slip into something more comfortable and give this e.p. another thorough listen or two. After all, Phour Trakk has hidden quite a few more niceties for the attentive listener. Or was this, too, the god of small things in the end?

Russian artist Stanislav aka. Irokez manage to presets us cinematic instrumental stories.From beginning till the end of album Stanisalv firmly lead us trough his music escapades. Starting in a tuxedo manner, continued with melodic break-beat, album has it own tempo from lounged moments with jazzy sax to weird d’n’b atmosphere.
His look back on trip-hop jazz downtempos with sounds mostly sampled, simply cuted and reunited in colourful sound pictures. Disjointed in layered melodic tunes, with recognizable concise arrangements, his music brings us circled tale of joys and pains, false and misconception in todays “modern life”.
